Niagara Predators Jr. A Hockey Club elevate concussion management with HEADCHECK
Niagara, ON —The Niagara Predators Jr. A Hockey Club of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League are delighted to announce a new partnership with HEADCHECK Health, which will enhance concussion management through a best-in-class digital platform.
“We are always doing everything we can to protect our players,” said Robert Turnbull, Predators Owner and General Manager. “Investing in the best-in-class concussion technology was a no-brainer for us.”
HEADCHECK’s industry-leading technology simplifies the implementation and execution of concussion protocols through its innovative use of mobile, cloud, and analytic technology. The Predators will utilize HEADCHECK to execute their concussion protocol process as part of this partnership. The technology will be used for baseline, post-injury, and return-to-play concussion tests throughout the season, ensuring a high level of safety for all players.
“Robert and the Predators were very proactive and immediately recognized the value of adopting a platform to use with their concussion protocol,” said Eric Vanderhelm, Enterprise Account Executive at HEADCHECK. “This will benefit their medical staff and players as they play at a highly competitive and physical level.”
Established in 2013 from a concussion research lab, HEADCHECK was created to address a critical challenge in sports: the complexity of implementing concussion protocols leaves athletes and organizations vulnerable to risk.
Since its inception, HEADCHECK’s digital platform has been embraced by thousands of sports leagues, governing bodies, and regulators, including MLS, the BCHL, and the CFL. Notably, HEADCHECK has been relied on in some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, including the Olympics and Tour de France. Learn more here.
