As part of a new partnership with BC Hockey, HeadCheck Health will be providing our concussion testing software and services to Junior A, Junior B, Major Midget, Minor Midget and Female AAA teams across the province. We are now excited to be extending the same software and services to minor hockey associations.

Why HeadCheck?

Provide parents with the confidence that your association is taking a proactive approach to concussion safety.

With HeadCheck in place, you will be able to show parents that your concussion policy is being followed correctly. Having an athlete’s concussion history tracked through HeadCheck allows it to move with them to a physician, a clinic or to another team as they continue through their career. This is incredibly important to parents as it means better decisions will be made regarding the concussion health of their son or daughter.

HeadCheck is simple and easy to implement and will give parents more peace of mind when they register their kids to play in your association.

How It Works

Every athlete in your association will have their own profile in the HeadCheck system where their entire concussion history will be tracked. Team safety officers or medical professionals will be given access to a mobile app for collecting key information at the time of a suspected concussion. Any follow-up tests or notes can be logged on the profile including one for medical clearance which helps prevent athletes from improperly returning to play. HeadCheck provides the association with reporting and analysis on activity to ensure their concussion policy is being followed by all member teams.

“The onboarding process was extremely smooth and efficient. The HeadCheck team worked with each of our teams’ trainers to ensure proper training and implementation. They remain in close contact with our teams and always available to assist directly. Overall I am very pleased with the level of service and support provided.” – Trevor Alto, BCHL Executive Director
